Can you put WD40 on skateboard trucks?
You should never use WD40 to clean skateboard bearings . This is a product designed specifically made for removing rust and grime, not as a lubricant or cleaner for bearings. It works wonders at first, but you’ll find yourself reapplying more and more as it dries out bearings.
Do all bushings fit all trucks?
All trucks come with stock bushings, but some prefer to replace them. Not everybody weighs the same and skaters prefer different tightness on the trucks. Note that bushings need to break in a little before you can tell you want to replace them.
Can you lubricate bushings?
Answer: You can lubricate a squeaky bushing, but you need to be careful about the lubricant you use. You also should be forewarned that finding the bushing may be difficult and getting the lubricant worked into the part may be impossible. And if the bushing is worn out, lubricating it will only hide the problem.
Can I use Vaseline to lube my bearings?
Vaseline will melt when hot. From friction. Use a grease. Automotive wheel bearing grease will work fine, or marine waterproof grease.
