"Wisconsin-Happy Festival State", by Eve Phillips. My husband and I love to travel in the state of Wisconsin where we live and get great pictures on the way. My name is Laurie Kutil and photography has become a great passion of mine since 2010. One thing I have learned in researching each town before visiting it is that, "Every town has it's story". When I do uncover those stories by connecting with local residents, our experience becomes so much richer. In turn, sharing the stories with you brings me joy :)
Madison has a great many talented people, young and old alike. This group of young people, The Young Shakespeare Players, perform the Shakespeare plays with maturity and skill. All children are welcome, nobody is turned away. Their sign says it all. Their location is at 1806 West Lawn Ave Madison, WI 53711. It is just off of Monroe Street.
Inside is a hotbed of young talent ready to give you a great performance. The Young Shakespeare Players performances are free, but rely solely on donations by their audience and sponsors.
Today we were watching some rehearsals and some costumed performances, all very riveting. Young adults also perform. These are full-length plays and there are no auditions. All are guaranteed a role in these productions!
Here is a performance of Twelfth Night.
Be sure to check the schedule on the web page for the next performance. Learn more about this group in the video below. The readiness is all!
