I just wanted to thank all our military, past and present, for keeping America free. My husband and his father were Navy vets. My grandfathers Army vets. That’s the real reason for the holiday. Yes, I will be enjoying some of that Monday when I volunteer at Brat Fest. I will also remember the sacrifices our armed forces have made since our country was born in 1776.
